Lisa Danylchuk

Author, Psychotherapist, and Yoga Teacher Trainer

Lisa Danylchuk, a UCLA and Harvard alumna, is a licensed psychotherapist and seasoned yoga teacher specializing in integrating yoga into trauma treatment. She founded the Center for Yoga and Trauma Recovery in Oakland, CA, and developed the Yoga for Trauma (Y4T) Online Training Program. Lisa has authored significant works including Yoga for Trauma Recovery: Theory, Philosophy, and Practice (2019), Embodied Healing (2015), and How You Can Heal (2017). She is a contributing editor for Best Practices for Yoga for Veterans and serves on the Board of Directors and the UN Task Force of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. Lisa's global influence is marked by her role in educating both yoga and mental health professionals, promoting the use of yoga as a vital component in trauma recovery.
