We’re flying through January and it has me reflecting. Reflecting on what I want 2025 to look like. And what I’ve chosen is to move through the year with more intentionality.
In April, Blue Door will turn 10 years old. This milestone makes me feel equal parts proud and determined. Proud that we have made it so far and determined to get Blue Door’s message to more people. Proud that I have been able to share Blue Door’s mission with so many and determined to reach the segment of the population that needs us so badly but hasn’t jumped on board. Because, as the old saying goes, you gotta seize the day otherwise you’re left sitting on the couch wondering why you’re not living life. Oh, wait, no one has said that before, so I guess it’s a new saying that I just made up 😊
I don’t make new year’s resolutions, but the beginning of 2025 is just hitting a little differently. I had such high hopes that this year was going to be different—slower, kinder. Different. But I don’t think 2025 is going to deliver on this. So, I need to seize the day! This year I am determined to become more of a leader in the business. I’m determined to getting Blue Door’s message out to more people and getting them to commit to their health and wellbeing, because, dammit, no one else is going to do it for you. Many of you have heard me say that “yoga isn’t a movement practice, it’s an energy management system.” I’m determined to bring in programs that support this vision of health+wellbeing for the community.
I hope this resonates with some of you; who am I kidding, I hope it resonates with ALL of you! If you’ve been a Blue Door lurker, take this as a sign to seize the day! Get off the couch and sign up for something. You will be proud of the change.
Xx
