Massage/Reflexology/CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
with Twila Sanfilippo OR Paula Gallegos
At Blue Door all massages are individualized to focus
on your body through various modalities.
Swedish+Hot Stone Massage with Twila
Swedish massage uses long strokes and light-to-firm pressure to provide gentle relaxation. Finish up with a soothing hot stone release and hot towel scrub for exfoliation
Therapeutic Massage
with Paula
Therapeutic Massage Therapy is a style of massage therapy which focuses on getting results vs. just relaxing. Using this term indicates that the purpose of the massage is to achieve a structural change or therapeutic benefit in the body. It is style of treatment where massage therapists mobilize your soft tissue (muscles, tendons, fascia, etc) to restore normal functional use. You should expect to feel great long after your therapeutic massage session ends, instead of just relaxing for an hour.

Craniosacral Therapy
with Paula
Craniosacral therapy, or cranial sacral therapy (CST), is a gentle, noninvasive and hands-on treatment that may provide relief from pain, like headaches and neck pain, side effects of cancer treatment and more.

Reflexology with Twila
Reflexology (or foot reflexology) is a therapy based on the principle that there are small and specific areas of innervation in the hands and feet that correspond to specific muscle groups or organs of the body. In this system, the nerve endings in the extremities provide a "map" of the rest of the body. Examples are the base of the little toe relate to the ear on the same side and every thing on that meridian has a nerve ending on that outside of the foot. If you have a sore shoulder massaging that area of that side helps relax that shoulder.

Yoga Rehabilitation
& Resistance Stretching
Yoga Rehab is an excellent adjunct to physical therapy or your regular yoga/movement practice to find relief from discomfort and/or develop greater body awareness.

Resistance Stretching is an assisted stretch technique where the individual actively engages the targeted muscles while the partner provides assistance. This technique helps in strengthening the muscles while increasing their flexibility.

Ayurveda
with NIC watson
Ayurveda translates to "science of life" and is a wholistic system that originated in India about 5000 years ago. An Ayurvedic Session will identify how the 3 Doshas influence your life, and how you can use Ayurvedic practices to create balance in your body through food, energetic practices, and lifestyle changes.
